Welcome

Welcome to my blog! I post every Monday, sharing the reasons and benefits behind the Truths in God's Word. Jesus said in John 8:31-32, "If you hold to my teaching, you are really my disciples. Then...

SALVATION

God didn’t create us to live separated from Him. God created us to walk in a close relationship with Him. But because He’s Holy, we were separated from Him due to our unholiness. God had to make a way for us to be made holy so we could be re-united back to Him, as He intended from the beginning.

Even as [in His love] He chose us [actually picked us out for Himself as His own] in Christ before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy (consecrated and set apart for Him) and blameless in His sight, even above reproach, before Him in love.

Ephesians 1:4, AMP

God sent Jesus to die for our sins, and raised Him back to life so we, who were dead in our sins, could be raised to a new life living through Him.

This is how God showed his love among us: He sent his one and only Son into the world that we might live through him. This is love: not that we loved God, but that he loved us and sent his Son as an atoning sacrifice for our sins.

1 John 4:7-8

When we receive Jesus into our hearts, God’s Holy Spirit comes to live in us.

If anyone acknowledges that Jesus is the Son of God, God lives in him and he in God. And so we know and rely on the love God has for us. God is love. Whoever lives in love lives in God, and God in him.

1 John 4:15-16

God then fills us with His Spirit to convict, teach, and empower us to live a holy life pleasing to Him.

Jesus said, “But the Counselor, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, will teach you all things and will remind you of everything I have said to you.”

John 14:26

God gave us His Word (the Bible) to speak to us and teach us through. Everything He’s commanded us to do and not to do is for our benefit and protection.

All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness, so that the man of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work.

2 Timothy 3:16-17

What do we need protection from?

Revelation 12:12 says, “…But woe to the earth and the sea, because the devil has gone down to you! He is filled with fury, because he knows that his time is short.”

Satan’s plan is to steal, kill, and destroy us. But the only way he can do it is through deceiving us. Deception is his only weapon. He tries to deceive us into giving in to our sinful nature  because he knows sin steals, kills, and destroys us. Jesus has given us victory over our sinful nature and set us free from Satan’s control.

AND YOU [He made alive], when you were dead (slain) by [your] trespasses and sins In which at one time you walked [habitually]. You were following the course and fashion of this world [were under the sway of the tendency of this present age], following the prince of the power of the air. [You were obedient to and under the control of] the [demon] spirit that still constantly works in the sons of disobedience [the careless, the rebellious, and the unbelieving, who go against the purposes of God].

Ephesians 2:1-2, AMP

And even if our gospel is veiled, it is veiled to those who are perishing. The god of this age has blinded the minds of unbelievers, so that they cannot see the light of the gospel of the glory of Christ, who is the image of God.

2 Corinthians 4:3-4

I encourage you to turn your heart to Jesus and receive His atonement (payment) for your sins. Don’t allow Satan to deceive you into thinking you don’t need Jesus. Jesus is the ONLY One who could make us Holy to restore our relationship with our Heavenly Father, our Creator! Receive the free gift God has given you.

He then brought them out and asked, “Sirs, what must I do to be saved?” They replied, “Believe in the Lord Jesus, and you will be saved….”

Acts 16:30-31

Pray to Jesus and tell Him you want to turn from your sins (repent). Ask Him to come into your heart so you can have a restored relationship with your ONE and ONLY Heavenly Father!!

You are my witnesses,” declares the LORD, “and my servant whom I have chosen, so that you may know and believe me and understand that I am he. Before me no god was formed, nor will there be one after me.”

Isaiah 43:10

Once you accept Christ don’t go back to obeying the devil. Keep moving forward with God, and allow Him to work in and through you. Obedience comes from the heart. Give God your whole heart and live your life solely for Him.

Do you not know that if you continually surrender yourselves to anyone to do his will, you are the slaves of him whom you obey, whether that be to sin, which leads to death, or to obedience which leads to righteousness (right doing and right standing with God)?

Romans 6:16

Don’t be a slave to Satan who wants to destroy you! Surrender your heart to the One who truly loves you and wants to protect you!
